Your e-scooter rental rate is pro-rated by the minute and not hourly at 50 cents/ minute which allows more flexibility with the time you actually use and no need to rush back to return to store if you have a limited budget.

i.e. 30 minutes = $15,  90 minutes = $45.

(We have waived the $5 activation fee).
It is much more economical this way!
we also offer 1/2 day rates of 4 hours for $90 on weekdays only.

Go Scoot is a completely cash-free experience. The Go Scoot app operates using a credit card and debit card is accepted via Square POS.

We are also using hard copy forms for people not able or do not want to use the App.

Yes, Segway brand helmets are available free of charge in a variety of sizes.

No reservations are required unless you are a group of five or more. Scooters are rented on a first come first serve basis and you will rarely have to wait for a scooter as we have over a hundred in our inventory.

Please note the reservation feature on our App is disabled.

If you are a group of 6 or more, is it recommended you make a reservation directly by emailing us directly at [email protected].

No, you do not need a drivers license to ride, however you must be at least 16 years of age to ride an e-scooter on public streets and roads. This is the legal age according to the BC Motor Vehicle Act and local City of Vancouver bylaw enforcement.  We retain a photo ID such as a Drivers License, for the rental procedure.

Local City of Vancouver bylaws and the BC Motor Vehicle Act require you to be 16 years or older.

Safety is first and foremost and we want to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable ride!

Our suggestion for first time riders, is to take precaution on how to ride safely confidently and not to go full speed until you are competent of your ability.

Riders must adhere to the following safety rules: https://goscoot.ca/safety

The e-scooter reaches speeds up to 25 km/hour. The BC Motorvehicle laws enforces the 25 km/hour speed limit and therefore our scooters have been set not to go beyond 25 km/hour.

A digital speedometer is visible on the scooter dashboard so you can easily view how fast you're going during your ride. Your speed can be affected by how much you weigh, and what type of terrain you're traveling on ie. uphill vs downhill.

Only top-of-the line Segways Max Plus and Pro – These are a commercial line of Segway scooters available only to authorized dealers. The pro and plus are sturdier, and more robust than consumer models. They are run completely by state-of-the-art IoT software, have larger tires, long lasting battery and front suspension making your ride smooth.

We also have a limited supply of Segway Ninebot Max G30s.

The Segway Max Plus promotes a best-in-class security system. Lock your scooter on the Go Scoot app so that the wheels are incapacitated. There is no way of unlocking a scooter without user interface on the app. We do not recommend leaving your scooter unattended.

The reported distance of the Segway Max Plus is 50 km!! by Segway, however this is under ideal circumstances and largely depends on your weight, how fast you're traveling, wind, and the terrain, such as uphill and rough surface terrain versus downhill, flat, and smooth terrain.

Yes it can but we don't recommend this. This is Vancouver after all where rain is a part of daily life.  On really rainy days, we may close our store as it is not a popular time for customers to go scooting.
While the scooters are water-resistant and splash-proof, it is not recommended they be ridden on wet surfaces as it may become slippery when braking.

Yes. Scooters are equipped with a front LED headlight and a flashing back brake light. Helmets also have reflective decals.

However, under ideal circumstances a scooter ride is more enjoyable by day when visibility is 100%.
We have a guided Night scoot every Saturday night during the summer. Pre-register by clicking here

There is NO definite answer to this one because battery life is contingent on the scooter rider’s weight, the speed of the ride and the terrain (flat or hilly).

Timewise, on a full charge, we've seen the  battery last from 2 to 4 hours depending on the variables mentioned above.

The scooter is powered by an interchangeable 36 volt/551 watt hour Lithium battery.  Segway reports up to 60 km under ideal circumstances.

Up to 250 lbs or 113 kg.  Do not double ride. Not only is it not safe, the scooter is not designed to handle over the recommended weight.

No, this is never permitted. Scooters require a degree of balance to operate. Two riders on one scooter can easily throw balance off leading to an extremely dangerous ride. There is also a scooter weight limit of 250 lbs.

Technically yes, you may lock and unlock your scooter along your ride if you want to take photos or grab an ice cream. When you "lock" the scooter with the app, it will incapacitate the wheels and prevent someone from riding away.  If you don't lock it, others people are able to steal your scooter without you knowing!

It's important that you are aware you will still be charged for the time even if you are not riding and the scooter is locked and parked while in your possession. Charges end when you return the scooter to our store.

Please be mindful to keep your scooter in plain sight at all times as thieves may be inclined to steal them if left unattended.

Yes, Stanley Park is a fabulous and favorite place to scoot around. It's a 10 km look around and it will take you approximately 30-45 minutes to circumnavigate the entire park depending on what route you take and how fast you go.

Did you know Vancouver has the world's longest, uninterrupted waterfront path? The  28 km Seaside Greenway is a path that extends from the Vancouver Convention Centre to Stanley Park, English Bay, Kitsilano, Granville Island, Olympic Village and more! uninterrupted sea side scooting pathways that will take your breath away!

Please yield to pedestrians and cyclists and remain in the bike lanes while adhering to traffic signs, yes it is allowed.

We are not a scooter sharing business like Lime, Bird or Spin. We are a rental shop whereby you rent and return from the same place. This guarantees that your scooter is always in good working condition and no searching for random scooters on the street!
